Artist’s Statement
“My work infuses a blend of cartooning, street modernism and ancient tribal motifs along with an explosion of vibrant colors. Cartoons were a big influence on me growing up, and when I began to examine Egyptian hieroglyphics and Aztec codecs I made a connection between them and modern sequential art. Combining these elements with toys and other modern mass-produced objects was just the twist I was looking for to create a feeling of tribal tradition applied to modern culture.”

2010 Comissioned by the Dwelling Place of Grand Rapids to create a
120’x30’ mural on the side of 101 Sheldon Blvd., Grand Rapids, MI

2010 Comissioned by the Township of West Orange to create a 20’x30’
mural on the side of the Luna Stage Building in West Orange, NJ

2009 Comissioned by the Montclair Art Museum to create a 32’x12’
mural in the in the Blanche & Irving Laurie Foundation Stairwell.

2009 Comissioned by the Montclair Public Library to create a 10’x45’
mural in the llibrary stairwell

2009 Comissioned by the Bedwell Middle School to create a 10’x5’
mural in the library

2008 Comissioned by the Gill St. Bernard School to create three murals
